About
The Savannah River Site (SRS) is a nuclear reservation located in Aiken, South Carolina. It's adjacent to the Savannah River, 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Augusta, Georgia.
Our site was built in the 1950's to refine nuclear materials for deployment in nuclear weapons. Today, the Savannah River Site covers 310 square miles and employs more than 10,000 people.
